This is Lee. I am tuned in. I don’t really have any questions at this time but thought I would see what others asked.

If there is nothing else. I do have a non test question. Do you know if &school PTs typically get benefits outside of their salary?

Hi. I do school-based PT. I currently work directly for the school district but have also worked as a contractor. In my current position, I am salaried and receive a full benefits package. Keep in mind that each state/district does things differently. In my district, PT/OT/SLP are on the teacher contract and eligible to be part of the teacher union. There’s good and bad with that like anything else. Overall, the pay may be lower (especially when first starting out) but the benefits can be excellent.

I have worked in districts in 2 different states and agree that there is a high degree of variability. It often depends on the size of the school district as they seem to weigh the pros and cons of employees vs contractors based on their need.
