For many of the outcome measures, there are several studies that suggest different cut off scores and MDC/MCID scores even for the same diagnosis. Any recommendations on which values to prioritize/remember?
Hi Masato! The different values are included to demonstrate that there is variability in the literature. When there are multiple cut-offs/MCID/MDCs available, my recommendation is to have a general idea of what is significant. In these cases, you likely wouldn’t be asked to interpret a score with options that fall between various significant values (i.e., if the MCID is 10 in one study and 20 in another study, a test question likely wouldn’t give 15 as an option).
