How much of lab values should we know for the exam? Just for when exercise isn’t safe or should we know more than that?

I would suggest focusing on outliers, such as when values reach levels that could make it unsafe for the child to mobilize and exercise. Also, understand signs/symptoms related to critical abnormal values. For example, if you notice a change in a child’s medical status during a session, do you have an understanding of how an abnormal lab value might correspond to what you observe.

Normal vital signs may also play into a scenario such as this, so be sure to triangulate what you observe with possible abnormalities.

      That makes sense. Thank you!
