Does anyone have any helpful pneumonics or visual aides to help remember lab value cutoffs for when it is unsafe to exercise a pt?

This is a great question! I don’t have any tricks, but maybe some other participants might.

I am a very visual learner, so I tend to make charts or graphs to organize information like values. For me, this creates a concise visual image of the values for me to recall mentally during an exam.

I found this “rule” for when it is unsafe to exercise.. hope it helps 🙂

      7–20–5–3–5–4

      7 → Hgb

      20 → Platelets

      5 → WBC

      3.5 / 5.5 → Potassium

      4 → INR
