      Can you confirm if this is the correct difference between internal vs external snapping hip syndrome: internal is associated with iliopsoas and is audible but not visual. External is associated with ITB and is visual but not audible.

      In my 30 years of practice, I haven’t seen these types of hip issues. However, I am aware that children with congenital hip dysplasia might have anatomical deviations of the bony joint and capsule that could mimic some hip issues such as these.

      Funny I have 25 years of pediatrics and I have not seen them either. But I was thinking maybe they would be seen more in a sports oriented clinic?

      Yes, I agree that a sports clinic is more likely. Pediatric sports/ortho is a big part of practice now compared to years ago. Try to think of pediatric conditions that might contribute to the condition.
