      Hello,

      I had a question about case study 8, question 10 which asks about what central tendency measurement would be best to measure the average.

      I answered mean, however the correct answer was median.

      Can you please explain the reasoning behind the correct answer.

      This question is referring to an ordinal data set (green, yellow, red). Median is the measurement of central tendency for ordinal data.

      There are no values to sum and divide to calculate mean, as there is for interval or ratio data. Median is also preferred for interval or ratio data when the values are skewed because median is less affected by outliers.
