Hi Deana! The transition to adulthood for patients with pediatric conditions is definitely fair game for the NCS exam. Honestly, there’s not a lot of great literature out there. You might consider reviewing the abstracts for these articles about barriers to transitioning to an adult model and the effects of some PT interventions in adults with CP and Down syndrome. I wouldn’t recommend spending a ton of time on this topic unless it is a big part of your clinical practice because it will likely comprise a small part of your NCS exam.
