Hello thank you for this course!
I have a question regarding student supervision in the inpatient rehabilitation setting. Are the guidelines for medicare patients being treated by PT students the same as they are for Part B in outpatient? Meaning does the PT have to be in the room and not treating another patient at the same time?

      Thanks,
      Robyn

      Hi Robyn!

Great question! From what I can tell, it depends on the inpatient setting (i.e. hospital, SNF, etc) and, even then, there are not specific guidelines. For these situations, we are directed to each individual state’s practice act and the policies of the facility.

Please check out this link referencing the APTA and see if this answers your question!
